Bottlebug are a Brisbane four-piece blending indie surf-rock with a punchy grunge edge, drawing from sun-soaked influences like Spacey Jane and Rum Jungle while tapping into the darker intensity of Wunderhorse and Fontaines D.C.

Their new single “SHACKELS” captures that balance perfectly — bright, jangly guitars and warm melodies layered over a driving, emotionally urgent backbone. The track feels like a blistering summer afternoon where everything is golden on the surface but something deeper is tugging underneath.

It’s energetic, heartfelt, and made for sweaty gigs, late-night drives, and anyone who’s ever felt caught between carefree youth and growing pressures. With “SHACKLES,” Bottlebug are running confidently into their own sound: nostalgic, gritty, and no sign of slowing down.
