The band name T H U M P pays tribute to the legendary bass players who have brought that 'Slap / Thump' funk sound & heavy groove to the world like the one and only 'Thunder Thumbs' Mr. Louis Johnson from Brothers Johnson, Bootsy Collins, Paul Jackson from the Head Hunters and Larry Graham of Sly and the Family Stone & Graham Central Station.
